AMEY LAUNCHES NEW APP
The Discovery Mill has been working with Amey to employ our new ’Big green ideas’ smart phone app for Energy Saving Management across the Home Office Estate. The App captures energy reduction opportunities and stores them for later analysis on an externally hosted website.

All staff including facilities managers, engineers and clients will be able to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption as part of their day to day activities in and around the Home Office Estate.
In January, we used our ‘Big green’ event format to help launch the new App in two half day workshops and discuss ideas on how best to use the app and deliver energy savings.

The Home Office account director Paul Byatt said “We are all using apps in our daily life but not in our workplace. We wanted to take energy reduction and sustainability to the next level. The launch was a great success and the team are already using the app, which will help us to meet the Government’s carbon reduction targets.”
